Anna Samaria

...formerly of Boston’s West End; 81

TEWKSBURY - Anna (Gianino) Samaria, 81 died Wednesday evening, Mar. 27, at herTewksbury residence, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Samuel Samaria, whodied March 12, 1992.

She was born in Revere, May 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Angelo and Angelina (Scalisi)Gianino, but lived in Boston’s West End the greater part of her life. She moved to Tewksbury in1977.

She was employed at the Globe Discount Store in Cambridge as a saleswoman. She retired in1966.

As a resident of Boston, she was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and in Tewksbury, St.William’s Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Maria Barchard, of Tewksbury, with whom she resided,Camille Michals of Tewksbury, Gerri Schultz of Buford, GA, three sons, Anthony Samaria ofMedford, Richard Samaria of Waltham, Donald Samaria of Everett, a brother Charles Gianino ofMedford, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was also sister of the late Frank Gianino, Michael Gianino and Dominic Gianino, andgrandmother of the late Camie Michals.

Her funeral Mass was held Monday, April 1, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
