Mrs. Eleanor M. (Bourque) Campbell, a resident of Manchester, NH and formally of Andover, MA died on Saturday, September 13, 2014, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.
Born in Lawrence on March 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Keegan) Bourque and was the beloved wife of the late Alexander J. Campbell. Eleanor graduated from St. Patrick's high school in 1942. After graduating she was employed as an operator for Western Electric for more that 25 years. Eleanor's favorite pastime was spending a summer day at the beach. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, and doing word search puzzles.
She will be missed by her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanor was the mother of the late Mary Ellen Tobias, Joan E. Blanchette and Alexander J. “Sandy” Campbell and sister of the late Joseph Bourque, Sr. and Claire Lynch.
Her funeral will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, on Thursday, September 18, at Noon. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main St., Andover on Wednesday, September 17, from 4 to 8 PM.
