Obituary

Raymond J. Pepin Jr, age 66, passed away on Sept. 12, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. He was born on June 21, 1948 in Chicopee, a son of the late Raymond J. and Yvette (Houle) Pepin. Raymond served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He later became a master pipefitter. In his later years he owned his own business Pro-Line Windows in Chicopee until he retired in 2011. Raymond was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4044 in Chicopee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and being outdoors. He especially loved teaching his grandchildren about life and how to do things. He leaves his beloved wife Nancy (Dupuis) Pepin of Chicopee; 1 son, David Pepin of Chicopee; 1 daughter Tara Pepin-Laizer of Chicopee; 2 brothers David Pepin and his wife Wendy of South Hadley and Scott Pepin and his wife Elizabeth of Westfield; 1 sister Lisa Fernandes and her husband Matt of Granby; his 2 beloved grandchildren, Emilie Rose and Hunter; His mother-in-law Eleanor Rusinowski of Chicopee, his sister-in-law Janice Perron and her husband Ron of Indian Orchard and Joseph Dupuis of Georgia, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Staff at Hartford Hospital and the Cardiac ICU for the exceptional care they had shown to Raymond and his family during his stay. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 17, 2014 at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by burial in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 54 Wayside Ave, West Springfield, MA 01089.
