WEBSTER – Leatrice E. (Lavoie) Stefanik, 77, of 4 Cross Court., died Monday, Nov. 29, at the Hospice Residence at Coes Pond, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, after an illness.
She leaves her husband, Anthony J. Stefanik; 2 daughters, Suzanne M. Stefanik of Dudley and Debra L. Leno of Rochdale; 3 sons, Richard A. Stefanik of Chester, NH, Randy J. Stefanik of Dudley, and Lee E. Stefanik of Greenfield, NH; a brother, Norman Lavoie of Dudley; 3 grandsons, Nathan Plaza, Jared Leno and Myles Salazar; and an aunt, Loretta Henault of Southbridge. She was predeceased by a sister, Estelle Ziemski, and a brother, Roger Lavoie.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Daigle) Lavoie, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1945.
She was the bookkeeper at Lavoie Auto in Dudley and at Tonylea Pharmacy here, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and its Ladies of Saint Anne. She was also a member of the AARP. She was a bridge player, and enjoyed needlework and knitting. She liked sports, especially listening to Red Sox and Patriot games on the radio.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. After cremation, burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
