Age 81Passed away quietly September 14, 2014, surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by first wife, Ruth; son Stephen; several brothers & sisters. Survived by wife Suzanne, his Lovee & best friend; children Pami (David) Hesley, Cindi (Mike) Sonnek, Jodi Barott, Juli Barott (Jim); 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; step daughters Suzanne Parisi, Patty (Mark) Nelson; sisters Janet Houge, Pat Cingle; brother Herb (Jenita); mother-in-law Margaret Kovacs; brother-in-law Jeff (Rebecca) Kovacs; & special lifelong friends, Jim & Judy Olinger. Gil was a longtime member of Indian Hills Golf Course. Special thanks to Dr. Steven Hallstrom, Dr. David Bonham & HealthEast Hospice, especially Jill, Carla & Maureen, our chaplain. Mass of Christian Burial Friday (9/19) 11:00 AM at TRANSFIGURATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6133 - 15th St. N, Oakdale. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday 4-7 PM AT CHURCH, & one hour prior to Mass. Memorials preferred.
