Constance (Chase) Shepherd, 95, a longtime resident of Pembroke, passed away on September 3, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Shepherd, Jr. Loving mother of the late Norman C. Shepherd and his wife Nancy of Kingston. Grandmother to Michael Shepherd of Pembroke, David Shepherd of Marshfield, and Kristin Klaus of Kingston. Connie is also survived by several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as her close friend Raymond Simmons.
Known to friends as "Connie", she was born in Quincy, and moved to Pembroke in 1935, where she met her husband, Melvin. Connie was actively involved with the First Church in Pembroke for many years, and was a past president of the Women's Guild, as well as the Pembroke/Hanson Garden Club. Some of Connie's interests included gardening, sewing, and line dancing.
A memorial service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St, (Rt. 14) Pembroke, on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 9:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
