Rose L. (Nasuti) Solbo, 87, of Franklin died September 6 in her home. She was the wife of Charles D. Solbo for 67 years until his death on August 17.
Born in Franklin, April 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Artemisia (Caleo) Nasuti, Mrs. Solbo was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She was a 1944 graduate of Franklin High School and had attended the Henry O. Peabody School in Norwood.
Mrs. Solbo had worked for Dean College for 25 years until her retirement in 1989 as the switchboard operator.
She had previously worked in the Town of Franklin in the Treasurer’s office.
Rose enjoyed pastry baking, knitting and visiting her family.
She is survived by her niece Paula Koones of St. Cloud, Florida and Michael Principessa of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her nieces and caregivers, Deanna Shock, Marcia Baker and Vivian Chase–Williams of Walpole.
She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street in Franklin at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
