Lloyd Wright, 75, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Monday, November 29, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with Rev. David Biggers and Elder Otis McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday.
Mr. Wright was born October 16, 1929, in Carroll County, Georgia, to the late George Benjamin “Bud” Wright and Josie Ella Smith Wright. He was a retired farmer and the former owner and operator of Wright Meat Market in Ocilla. Mr. Wright was a former member of the Irwin County Young Farmers Association and awarded the Man of the Year in Soil and Water Conservation for 1975.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife: Jimmy Sue Wright, Ocilla; three children: Charles Wright, Lamar Wright and Susan W. Veal, all of Ocilla; six grandchildren; two brothers: Elbert Wright and Joe Wright of Ocilla; two sisters: Betty Hayes, Ocilla and Martha Nell Griffin, Nashville, GA. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
