Belmont----- Arthur Henry Scott, Jr., 84, died at his home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
Mr. Scott was born July 19, 1930 in Fort Totten, Queens, New York, the son of the late Arthur H. and Isabel Elizabeth (Bidwell) Scott.
Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953 and resided in New York for many years before moving to Belmont forty-two years ago. He had been employed by Genesis Eldercare for thirteen years before retiring.
Mr. Scott was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in Belmont. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Laconia Post #1670.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Frances M. Scott, of fifty-seven years; two sons, Richard and Vincent Scott, both of Belmont; one daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Sperin, of Huntington, New York; ten nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was predeceased by two brothers; Franklin D. Scott Sr. and Robert N. Scott.
A private family burial will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H.
