George Cardona, 52, of New Bedford died September 3, 2014 at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Kimberly C. (Russell) Cardona.
Born in Bronx, NY, the son of Rafael Cardona of New Bedford and the late Josephina (Galvez) Cardona, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church.
He enjoyed fishing and working.
Survivors include his wife; his father; 2 sons, Bryan Cardona and Shaquille Cardona, both of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Nichole Cardona and her fiancé Ryan Spinner of New Bedford and Sacha Pacheco of Florida; 2 brothers, Raymond Cardona Green and Rafael Cardona, Jr., both Nashua, NH; a sister, Gloria Villalobo of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Lanyia, Jarell and Mystique; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late George Cardona, Jr. and the brother of the late Linda Cardona and Americo Cardona.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 9th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, September 8th from 4-8 PM.
