CONCORD – Melody Lynn Scott, 53, of 128 Loudon Road, died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Concord Hospital.
She was born on September 3, 1960 in Laconia, the daughter of Roland K. and Bernice E. (Thomas) Jenness. She worked for several years as an LNA, most recently for Glencliff Home. Melody was a member of the Laconia Rod & Gun Club. She loved knitting, crochet and beadwork, playing bingo, flowers and camping. Melody also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, to the mountains and to the ocean.
She is survived by two brothers; Steven Jenness and his wife Beverly of Northfield and Kevin Jenness of Concord, her two sisters; Sharon Barton and her husband Walter of Gilmanton and Kerrie Bigl and her husband Dana of Concord, 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 6PM on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will be privately held at the Meredith Village Cemetery, Meredith.
