Gwen (Cox) Paulley, 79, passed away August 31,2014 surrounded by her family.
She was retired from Jefferson County Public Schools as a teaching assistant. Gwen enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and spending time at Nolin Lake. She also loved spending time with her family and her sunshine, Trey.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James L. Paulley; a granddaughter, Valerie Ferrell and two brothers, Stanley and Colin ”Corky” Cox.
Survived by daughters, Deborah Ferrell and Teresa Harper (Duke); two brothers, Buel and Wendell Cox; three grandchildren, Candace Ferrell, Ashley Harper (Shaun Ogden) and Amy Harper; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 2:00 – 8 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
