Obituary

Richard B. "Dick" Foucart, of New Bedford died peacefully Wednesday November 24, 2004 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Lisa A. Thibeault.

Born in Temple, Penn., the son of the late Boyd and Helen B. (Rank) Foucart, he had lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Mr. Foucart was the proprietor of Alpha Uniform Services of New Bedford.

He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended the New Bedford Textile Institute. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Star in the East Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in New Bedford.

Mr. Foucart enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and inspired everyone to celebrate each day of life.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Bruce Foucart, and his wife Corbina, of Manassas, VA, and Paul Foucart, and his wife Luana, of Chandler, AZ; a daughter, Wendy A. Lunny, and her husband David, of Upton; 2 brothers, Robert Foucart of Liverpool, NY, and Kenneth Foucart of Williamsport, Penn.; his mother and father-in-law, Conrad and Helen Thibeault of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, Corbin, Abigail and Kaeden Foucart, and Brittany and Brendan Lunny; and several nieces and nephews, especially Maddie and Quinn Medeiros.

He was the brother of the late John Foucart.

His Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 30, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the Grace Episcopal Church, 422 County St., New Bedford. A private family committal service will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Dick's memory may be made to Southcoast Hospital Group Oncology Center, 480 Hawthorn St., Dartmouth, MA 02747.
