Dorothy Calvin, a long time resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
Dorothy was an attendant of the Lawrence Church of Christ. She was born in McDuffie County, GA, and was educated in the Lawrence Schools. Dorothy loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do was cook and have family gatherings. Dorothy was predeceased by her father Willie C. Calvin and her mother Eloise (Reese) Calvin.
Members of Dorothy's family include: her son: Eric Shawn Calvin, 3 grandchildren: Ziahir M. Calvin, Kyla MacKenna, and Cordel C. Calvin. She is also survived by 5 sisters: Annie Wilson, Idonia and her husband D.C. Wilson, and Ariabe Calvin all of Lawrence, MA, Hazel and her husband Walter Woodard of Hephzibah, GA, and Shirley Calvin of Haverhill, MA. Dorothy was also a host to many nieces and nephews.
