Obituary

Mosychuk, Henry of Dedham, peacefully passed away on August 28, 2014. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Margaret “Peg” (Kruéz) Mosychuk. They were married for 58 years. He was the devoted father to 6 children; daughter Jean Miller and her husband Jim of Mansfield; son Stephen Mosychuk of Jacksonville, FL; son Dr. Richard Mosychuk and wife Jennifer of Falmouth, daughter Ann Stano of Dedham, daughter Ellen Murley and her husband David of Mansfield, and daughter Susan Mosychuk of Arlington, VA. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Barbara Mosychuk from Ukraine. 

He was the devoted brother to Eva Cadwell of Lynnfield, the late Edward Mosychuk and Carroll Mosychuk. He was the extremely proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren; John and James Mosychuk; Christine, Gregory, Carolyn, and Emily Miller; Nicholas and Joseph Stano; Kristen, Michael, and Kevin Murley; Julia and Henry Mosychuk. 

Hank attended Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1950. He received an athletic scholarship to UMASS Amherst, where he was the captain of the Redmen basketball team, member of the fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa and graduated in 1954 with a degree in business. 

Hank worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. He started there as a sales person and moved his way up to Area Account Director. He was admired and respected by all who worked with and for him. 

Hank was a long time resident of the town of Dedham and very involved in the community. He was a coach to various sports that his children played in. He was an active Town Hall Meeting member, and active member and past President of the Dedham Men’s Club. He was a man of faith and was a very involved with St. Mary’s Church. He was a CCD teacher and lecturer. 

He enjoyed vacationing in Naples, FL during the winter months and Falmouth, MA in the summertime. 
Hank was known for being well read, his wit, humor, and athletic ability. He enjoyed watching and participating in a variety of sports. He was a true Boston fan, always cheering on all the Boston Teams. He took pleasure in playing catch and basketball with all his children and grandchildren. 

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. DEDHAM Wednesday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Henry’s memory to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 420 High St. Dedham, MA 02026.
