HUDSON, MA: Maria A. (Leandres) Medeiros, 61, died on August 24, 2014 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA following a period of declining health.
She was born in Santa Maria, Acores on February 1, 1953 the daughter of the late Francisco Leandres and Filomena (Perry) Leandres.
Maria was the wife of the late Julio Medeiros. She is survived by her daughter Deanna M. Blake and her husband Edward Blake of Madison, CT. Grandmother of Nicholas, Dylan, Jayson and Morgan Blake all of Madison, CT. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Manuel Leandres.
Maria has been a resident of Hudson, MA for over 15 years and previously resided in Shelton and Bridgeport. Prior to her retirement, she was a cardiology technician at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
