Obituary

Dr. Jean N. Leclerc, 91, of Manchester, died March 27, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, October 31, 1910, he was the son of Ludger and Odile (Boucher) Leclerc.

Dr. Leclerc graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, and earned his medical degree from Laval University Medical School.

He later entered the military during World War II and served in the Army Medical Corps in Europe.

He lived in Wheeling West, VA for a time, and returned to Manchester where he practiced medicine until his retirement in 1977. He had been on staff at the former Notre Dame Hospital and later Catholic Medical Center for many years.

He belonged to numerous societies and organizations, among them the NH Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.

In addition he was a member of the Jolliet Club, and L’Association Canado Americaine.

Dr. Leclerc was married to Yvette (Jutras) Leclerc, who died in 1965, and Florence (Hemond) Leclerc, who died in 2000.

Family members include a daughter, Dr. Judith D. Leclerc of Merrimack; a son, Paul R. Leclerc of Sausalito, CA; nieces and nephews.

The Liturgy of the Word was conducted Saturday March 30, 2002 in St. George Church, 517 Pine St., Manchester. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
