Obituary

Whitman – Patrick S. Brennan 64, died unexpectedly Monday August 25 in Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of thirty six years Jean M. (Foley) Brennan.

Born in Boston and raised in Weymouth he was the son of Marguerite (Crowley) Brennan of Weymouth and the late Eugene Brennan and a graduate of Weymouth High School.

Patrick was a veteran of Vietnam, having served two tours of duty overseas in the US Air Force from 1969-1972 and later serving in the US Army from 1979-1989.

Patrick had been a resident of Whitman since 1989 where he was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He was also an active member of the Congregational Church of Whitman.

He loved riding his “Harley Davidson” and enjoyed model trains and rockets, but his greatest joy was the time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife Jean and his mother Marguerite he is survived by his loving daughters Meghan Lemieux and her husband Joseph of Whitman, Erin Willis and her husband Kevin of Halifax and Kathleen Brennan and her partner Ryan Kirkpatrick of Rockland, and his siblings Eugene Brennan and his wife Deb, Terrance Brennan and his wife Ann, John Brennan, Frederick Brennan and his partner Ellen Monahan, Marguerite Gutekunst, and Irene Brennan-Krewduk and her husband Michael all of Weymouth, Marylou Nesson and her husband Bob of Whitman, Christopher Brennan and his wife Caroline of West Bridgewater and Elizabeth Brennan of Roslindale. He is also survived by his grandchildren Liam, Mackenzie, Connor, Jacob, Gianna and Gabriel as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday August 28 from 4-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. His funeral service will be held Friday August 29 at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church, 519 Washington Street, Whitman.
