Richard C. Priest of Needham died on Monday November 22, 2004 at Avery Manor Nursing Home. He was 89 years old. Mr. Priest was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After the war, he worked for many years for Shreve Crump and Low until his retirement. In id retirement Richard worked part time at Roche Brother is Needham. “A gentleman and kind person to all that knew him”. Beloved son of the late Holden and Olive (Marsh) Priest. Cousin of Dr. Alan Whitney of Cherry Hill N.J., Dr. Loriston Amsden of Worcester and Dr. Norton Whitney of Needham. He is also survived by many friends at Avery Crossing and his caregiver Rosemary Costa. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at the “Carter Room of the Avery Crossing, 110 West St. Needham, MA. Private burial will be held at the Silver Lake Cemetery of Athol, MA.
