
Worcester- Walter Leosz, 91, of Pattison Street, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, in St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Sophie H. (Lewandowska) Leosz; a son, Chester M. Leosz and his wife Sandy of Holden; a grandaughter, Jennifer A. Marriott and her husband Rob of Boulder, Colorado; nephews and nieces. His daughter, Barbara H. Leosz, died in 1969. He was also predeceased by four brothers and a sister in Poland. He was born in Kurowszczyzna, Poland, son of Stanley and Mary Leosz. He later lived in Germany, before moving here in 1949.
Mr. Leosz was a stitcher for many years at Brown Shoe Co. before retiring.
He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. He was a veteran of the Polish Army.
The funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 26, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour is from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, in the funeral home.
