Frances Wanita (Etchison) Paddock, 89, of Anderson died at her farm where she resided for 65 years on August 20, 2014 after an extended illness.
She was born October 15, 1924 in Elwood, IN to Ralph and Dalice (Foust) Etchison. She was a 1942 graduate of Frankton High School.
She worked Production and Inspection at Delco Remy Division of General Motors a total of 32 years before retiring in 1985. She was also a homemaker and farmer with her husband Clifton Paddock who preceded her on February 4, 2000.
She was a member of Frankton Christian Church; former officer and member for many years of the Pony Trotting Association; former leader of Madison County 4-H. She was a precinct committeeman and a member of the Women's Republican League.
She enjoyed painting, mowing the yard, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her five children, Becky (Steve) Cox of Austin, TX; Marlene Hendrickson of Anderson; Peggy (Frank) Klejmont of Bend, OR; Daniel (Tami) Paddock of Lapel and David (Holly) Paddock of Anderson; sister, Doris Hobbs of Elwood; sister-in-law, Betty Paddock of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Cam (Jill) Paddock of Lapel; Anna Marie (Mac) Gable of Austin, TX; Landon (Amanda) Paddock of Lapel, IN; Britton Cox of Butte, MT; Krysten Klejmont of Washington, DC; Danielle Cluxton and Cinch Paddock both of Anderson; four great grandchildren, Maddie Paddock and Cale Paddock both of Lapel; Quincy Gable of Austin, TX and Ryit Golden of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifton Paddock and her sister, Ruby Hays.
Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Burial will be in K. of P. I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton, IN.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
