Olga (Clemente) Soares, age 69, of Fall River passed away on Saturday August 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph E. Soares Sr. and the daughter of the late Pedro and Theresa (Perreira) Clemente. She was a CNA and physical therapist at Catholic Memorial Home and the Fall River Nursing Home, enjoyed playing bingo, contributed to many local charities, enjoyed decorating the saints at St. Anne’s Shrine weekly, donated to Santo Christo Church in Portugal to keep the flowers there fresh and an active parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Deborah Linhares (husband Manuel), Joseph Soares Jr. (wife Jody), Randall Soares, Jeffrey Soares (wife Lynn), and Michael Soares, 6 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 3 great grandchildren. In her passing she is reunited with her loving mom and her siblings.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on TUESDAY from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
