Alfredo “Dino” Garvani, 76 of Medford died Sunday after a brief illness in the Massachusetts General Hospital Boston, MA.
Born in Gaeta, Italy, he was the son of the late Elvira (Buonaugurio) and Ercole Garvani. Dino has lived in Medford for the past 51 years. Mr. Garvani was a General Manager at the Charles River Country Club in Newton, and retired in 1991. Alfredo was also the owner of the Neptune Room in Hyannis, MA for 10 years. Alfredo also was the Editor and Writer of the Incontro an Italian newspaper serving the Boston area. He also was a member and on the board of Director of the Dante Alighieri Society.
Beloved husband of Idea (Catanzano)Garvani. Devoted father of Debbie LoPresti and her husband Francesco, Patty Vickers and her husband David, Roberta Sullivan and her husband William. Loving grandfather of Marco, Steven, Alicia, Daria, Brenda, Alex and Christina. Brother-in-law of Attilio Catanzano of Colorado.
The family will receive visitors at the Garvani home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Interment will be private.
