Samuel A. “Sam” McDowall of Framingham passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Framingham. He was seventy-one years old.
Born on December 1, 1942 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, he was the son of the late Joshua McDowall and Beryl Davis.
He was the devoted husband of Sandra F. Silcott-McDowall of Framingham.
Loving father of Natasha McDowall of Framingham and Anthony McDowall of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Cherished grandfather of Amirah McDowall of Framingham and Mickron McDowall of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Also survived by fourteen brothers and sisters and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
Sam came to the United States in 1982 and was a construction worker with Local 22 of Boston from 1982 until his retirement in 2004.
He loved his family and friends, always had a positive attitude and outlook at life.
A member of the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church of Natick for many years who enjoyed Calypso and Reggae Music, singing, gardening, and playing Dominos.
Sam’s Funeral Service will be held in the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut St., Natick, MA on Saturday, August 16th at Noon.
A visitation will be held prior starting at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick following the service.
