Obituary

SPENCER: Jeannette C. (Hebert) St.Germain 94, formerly of Howe Village, died Sunday, Aug. 10 in Quaboag Rehab & Skilled Care Center.

She was the wife of Edward I. St.Germain who died in 1955.

She leaves several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, including her niece and caretaker, Irene Hebert of W.Brookfield, and niece Diane Crosby of No. Brookfield, who died in 2011. She is predeceased by brothers; Emile and Norman Hebert and a sister Lucille Hebert.

Jeannette worked at the former American Optical in Southbridge for 11 years, retiring in 1982.

Born in Spencer she was the daughter of Remi and Albina (Arbour) Hebert. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Parish and its St. Anne’s Sodality. She was a member of the Royal Order of Pocahontas, member and Past President of the American Legion Post 138 Women’s Aux., and was a longtime volunteer for the meals program at Howe Village.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Aug. 15th. from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the funeral on Friday from 8:30 to 9:30a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of the Assumption Retirement Fund, 211 No.Main St., Petersham, Ma. 01366.
