Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” A. Snyder, 83, of Franklin, died August 10 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Franklin, December 7, 1930, the daughter of the late George S. and Ruth H. (Whitaker) Snyder, Miss Snyder was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She was a 1949 graduate of Franklin High School.
Miss Snyder had worked for 36 years at the former Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank, retiring as head teller.
Betty was very interested in Town events and could be counted on as being “in the know” about the Franklin happenings.
She had been a member of FISH, the Salvation Army, the Franklin Senior Center, the Franklin Historical society and the Franklin Design and Revue Committee.
Betty loved to play bingo, was an avid bowler and was a sports fan, especially of the New England Patriots.
She is survived by her sister Helen Hamant of Franklin and her niece Linda Tobey of Cumberland, Maine.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin(www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Activities Fund of Medway Country Manor, 115 Holliston Street, Medway, MA 02053 or the First Universalist Society in Franklin, PO Box 316, Franklin, MA 02038.
