Lu (Petrosian) Sutherland, 68, of Medway died peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Ralph Sutherland.
Born in Germany on August 15, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Diane (Komkova) Petrosian.
Mrs. Sutherland was a resident of Medway for the past forty years and formerly resided in Bellingham. After her sons finished college, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Emmanuel College in 2000.
Before her retirement, she worked in the accounting department at Genzyme Corporation for many years.
Mrs. Sutherland was a founding member of the Medway Players, appearing in its first production, “Plaza Suite” and was also a director and actor in other productions. She was also an active member of the Friends of the Medway Library.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ed Sutherland of Woburn and Chris Sutherland of Arlington and a brother Sam Petrosian.
She was the sister of the late George Petrosian.
At the request of her family, funeral services will be held privately.
