Obituary

Evelyn D. Pimenta, 91, of The Village at Waterman Lake died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. She was the wife of the late Anthony Pimenta.
Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late William and Albina (Favreau) LaCroix. She had lived in Smithfield her whole life. Evelyn had been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Our mother lost both of her legs in the fall of 2004. She inspired many with her tenacity and strength, touching the souls of many. We want to thank her friends, family, the medical community and hospice, Charlotte, David and Pam.
She is survived by her children: David W. Pimenta of Brewster, MA, Charlotte, Ogilvie Lee of Buzzards Bay, MA and Pamela M. Minakin of Coventry; three grandchildren, Traves Ogilvie and Chad and Emily Minakin and two great grandchildren, Karlee and Colby. Predeceased by her siblings, Donald and Winton LaCroix and Flora Lachapelle.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 10am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
