Obituary


McCarthy, Robert Anthony “Louie” 63, passed away at home on August 6 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Cynthia Ann (LaCivita) McCarthy “Cindy” of Plymouth. He leaves his sister Carol Florentino and her husband Francis “Pudgy” of Saugus, brother of William McCarthy and his wife Janet of Beverly Farms and the late Joseph “Duke” McCarthy. He also leaves his father and mother in-law John and Martha LaCivita of Holbrook, sister in Laws Jean and her husband Robert Gray of E. Taunton, Joan and her husband Bart Leon of Raynham, Joanne and her husband Phillip Raymond of Gardner, brother in-laws Johnny A LaCivita of Holbrook, Robert LaCivita of Randolph, their God Daughter Sarah and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Robert was born in Brighton the son of Joseph Leo and Helen (McInnes) McCarthy he graduated from Winthrop High School. He worked as a Bus Driver for the MBTA Silver Line out of South Hampton St. Robert loved his cats his boxers and all animals. He was a member of White Cliffs Country Club, the Carmen’s Union local 389, enjoyed golf, sailing, tennis, skiing, and the beach. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, loved the Caribbean and Florida
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday August 10, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish on Monday August 11, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Plymouth Animal Shelter, 2199 State Road, Plymouth, MA 02360
