Carmel P. Levesque, 64, of Wales Bridge Rd., Loudon, NH died Tuesday morning March 26, 2002 at the Concord Hospital, Concord, NH following a sudden illness. Mrs. Levesque was born in Manchester, NH on September 15, 1937, the daughter of Edward and Claire (Ledoux) Provost. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Anthony’s High School, Manchester. She had resided in Loudon for the past year, formerly living in Sandown, NH for many years. Mrs. Levesque had most recently attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Concord, St. Anne’s Parish, Hampstead and St. Michael’s Mission, Sandown. She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 279, Concord and a life member of the Halcyon Club, Derry. She was an Emblem Club member of the B.P.O.E. #146, Manchester and former Chaplain of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #290, Manchester. Mrs. Levesque was considered the Matriarch of her family.
She is survived by her husband of more than 30 years, Richard A. Levesque, Loudon, four daughters, Mrs. Darren (Dianne G.) Silvey, Peoria, AZ, Mrs. Peter (Michelle) Pilch, Hillsborough, NH, Mrs. Steven (Susane B.) Minshew, Bedford, NH, Mrs. Scott (Richl Ann) Perkins Sr., Loudon, her parents of Bedford, NH, 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, Edward Provost Jr. of Florida, five sisters, Muriel C. Simmons, Hooksett, NH, Jeannine Miville, Auburn, NH, Susan Auger, Goffstown, NH, Claudette Talbot, Bradenton, Fl, Victoria Pero, Venice, Fl, also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday March 28th from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. The Loyal Order of Moose will provide a ritual during calling hours at 7:00pm. A memorial gathering with refreshments will be held Friday March 29th at 1:00pm at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1374, 170 N. State St., Concord, NH (phone #603-228-4903). Following cremation, a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday April 2nd at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Ave., Derry.
