DERRY, NH., Roland E. Mondor, 86, passed away on Monday August 4, 2014.
Roland was born in Ware, Massachusetts on September 15, 1927 son of Joseph and Valida (Marie) Mondor. Roland grew up in Ware Massachusetts where he met his wife of 60 years Vivian (Daoust) Mondor. Roland resided in Spencer, Massachusetts before relocating to Atkinson, NH in 1972. After a long career at Hudson Shoe Machinery spanning over 35 years Roland retired in 1992 and enjoyed Life in New Hampshire and traveling to Florida during the cold winter months. Roland relocated to Derry, NH in 2008.
Roland was a car enthusiast and enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roland enjoyed Big Band Music and the Red Sox. Roland was an active member of St Anne’s Parish in Hampstead NH for many years.
Roland is predeceased by a son Mark Mondor. He is survived by his Wife Vivian Mondor of 60 years and five children Steven Mondor and his wife Maureen of Hyannis, MA, Anne Gregoire and her husband Francis of Hooksett, NH, Francis Mondor of Atkinson, NH, Kenneth Mondor of Merrimack, NH and Roger Mondor and his wife Tammy of Amherst, NH, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
There will be a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer, MA, on Thursday, August 7 at 10 A.M. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Arrangements are being handled by J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer.
