FALMOUTH – Alfred P. Silva, husband of Shandra (Farias) Silva of North Falmouth, died at Falmouth Hospital on July 31, 2014.
He was 92.
Born in Raynham, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Maria (Correia) Silvia.
Formerly of Taunton, Mr. Silva grew up in Raynham and later served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II.
A retired production foreman, he was employed by Reed & Barton Silversmiths for over forty-three years.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth.
In addition to his wife of seventy years, Mr. Silva leaves a sister, Mary DeCastro of Taunton, and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late John, Anthony and Frank Silvia.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, N. Falmouth on Wednesday, August 6th at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial will follow at the MA National VA Cemetery in Bourne.
