Obituary

Milton C. Chumack, 70, of New Bedford died Saturday August 2, 2014 peacefully at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Monique C. (Michel) Chumack.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Leonard W. and Louise F. (Harding) Chumack, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Mr. Chumack was formerly employed as a technician for Titleist until his retirement. He had previously worked for Chamberlain Manufacturing and had owned and operated his own electronics repair business, Amp Inn.

He enjoyed golfing, flying, and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Andre Chumack and wife Barbara, Urana Chumack Swenson and husband Jason, and Crystal Chumack; his stepchildren, Brian Pontes and wife Rebecca, and Elizabeth Pontes and partner Charles Fox; his brothers, Merton C. Chumack and wife Sheila, Carlton S. Chumack and wife Angela, and Ralph A. Chumack and wife Cynthia; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Venus M. Chumack and Jules Chumack, and brother of the late Leonard W. Chumack, Curtis W. Chumack, and Charles W. Harding.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
