Alex Silva, age 22 of New Bedford, formerly of Swansea, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Joseph and Maria (Nunes) Silva. He was a barber at Silveira’s Barber Shop in New Bedford, was loving, caring and very generous to all and helped anyone in any way he could. He loved his work, spending time with his family and friends, listening to music and playing video games.
In addition to his parents Alex is survived by his brother Jordan Silva of Swansea, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friend Alexandra Tremblay.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on TUESDAY here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Francis of Assisi Church 530 Gardener’s Neck Rd., Swansea at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
