Obituary

SPENCER:

Emile Doria Messier, 87, of 89 Chestnut Street, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Worcester.

Son of the late Joseph and Eva (Duval) Messier, Emile was born in Spencer on October 1, 1927, and is predeceased in death by his brothers Robert, Norman, Edgar, Roland, and his sister Claire. Emile is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Emile served in the U.S. Army as a Private and a Military Police Officer, and later worked at Reed Roll Thread Tool & Die in Holden, and as a janitor for many years at Maple Street School in Spencer. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling throughout the US, spending time at the Fish & Game Club, riding his bicycle, and decorating for the holidays.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s for the exceptional care Emile received.

At Emile’s request, there are no calling hours and burial will be private.
