Kayla Lee Bertolami, 21, of Chester, NH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 20, 1993 in Lowell, MA a daughter of Karen (Belluardo) and David Bertolami Jr. Kayla was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Derry, Class of 2011. She was currently in her third year of college at St. Anselm College in Manchester, and was set for early graduation in December 2014. She was majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Web Design as well as Business Management. Kayla was a member of the Venture Crew. She enjoyed kayaking, hiking, baking, helping others, but most of all spending time with family and friends. She was a bright light who was taken too soon and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Kayla’s family included her parents, Karen and David Bertolami Jr. of Chester, her brother, David Bertolami III of Chester, longtime boyfriend, Mark Hebsch of Candia, maternal grandparents, Carol and the late Joseph Belluardo of Methuen, MA, paternal grandparents, the late Marguerite and David Bertolami Sr. of Punta Gorda, FL, aunts and uncles, Dina Latulippe and her husband Scott of Andover, MA, Mark Bertolami and his wife Theresa of Pepperell, MA, Deena Petersen and her husband Richard of Punta Gorda, FL, Todd Bertolami and his wife Shellie of Billerica, MA, as well as many cousins and friends.
Calling hours were held on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 3 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00am in the Abbey Church at St. Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester. Burial followed in Great Hill Cemetery, RT 121A, Chester, NH. Memorial contributions may be made in Kayla’s memory to Breathe New Hampshire, 145 Hollis St., Unit C, Manchester, NH, 03101.
