Eunice (Gordon) Greene of Newtonville died peacefully at her home on Friday Nov. 19, 2004, She was 89 years old. The beloved wife of the late Rev. Roger S. Greene.and the devoted mother of Daniel C. Greene and his wife Gail T. Greene of Roswell, GA, and Mary G. Horvath and her husband Charles “Chas” J. Horvath of Concord. Loving grandmother of Nathaniel T. Greene of Lebanon, NH, Zachary D. Greene of Rome, GA, and Jeremy T. Greene of Roswell, GA, and Charles “C.J.” and Daniel G. Horvath of Concord. Sister f Joyce Emanuelson, Jean French, Phyllis Layton, Robert Gordon, John Gordon and Phillips Gordon. Caring friend to Elizabeth and Craig Reed, and their children Savannah and Alexander. Family and friends are invited to her calling hours 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday November 23rd, at the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St, Newton . The Funeral is Wed. Nov, 24th at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 297 Lowell Ave., Newtonville. Interment Newton Cemetery. Eunice served in many capacities for the Episcopal Church; chief among them was her role as a minister’s wife in Norwich and Brandon , Vermont, always welcoming newcomers, caring for the sick and indigent, and serving in all matters of church life. In addition, Eunice was the secretary to the Guidance office at Weeks Junior High School in Newton for many years.
