Francelina (Texeira) Moniz, age 77 passed away on Saturday July 26, 2014. Born in São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria de Espirito (Ponto) Texeira, and wife of the late Julio Moniz. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, watching wrestling and hockey, going to casinos, spending time with her family and was a member of St. Michael’s Parish.
She is survived by her children: Antone Moniz (wife Natalie), Joseph Pimental (wife Connie), Luis Moniz (wife Connie), Julio Moniz (wife Andreia), Paul Moniz (wife Priscilla), Maria Aldina Aguiar (husband Eddy), Maria Grace Moniz, and Patricia Lindo (husband Manny), siblings: Manuel, Francisco, Antonio and José Texeira, Maria Rodrigues, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Leontina Martins.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 12:00 P.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com
