David L. Murphy, 78, went to heaven, Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, with his family by his side.
He was born in Adair County, KY. to Delbert & Julia (Cheatham) Murphy.
David was a retired Carpenter/Welder for L.G. & E. with 28 years service and after retirement worked for Total Truck Parts for many years.
He was preceded in death by his Father.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline (Shelton) Murphy; his girls: Judy “Darlene” Johnson (Bud) and Gale Smith; 4 Grandchildren: Ryan Anderson, Cherie Willis (Chris), Nikki Anderson, and Blair Johnson; 4 Great Grandchildren: Jackson, Marlee, Hallie & Lucy; his Mother: Julia Cheatham; a Brother: Jimmie Murphy (Louise); and many Nieces, Nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
