FALL RIVER… Joseph J. Sikora, Jr., 77, of Tiverton, RI passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2014 after a long illness.
He was born in Fall River a son of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Sophie (Kosmos) Sikora and had lived in Tiverton since 1988.
He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish, South Main Street, Fall River.
He was employed with the City of Fall River as a heavy equipment operator retiring in 2000.
Mr. Sikora was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W Fall River, a member of St. John’s Athletic Club, enjoyed golf, watching all sports, and was an avid Yankee’s fan.
Survivors include a sister Joan J. Almeida of Tiverton, a nephew Marc E. Almeida of Wareham, a great niece Samatha L. Almeida of FL, a great nephew Ryan J. Almeida of Fall River, and his longtime companion Evelyn Gouveia of Fall River.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 9A.M. from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10A.M. at Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Monday 6 – 8 P.M.
