Obituary

Paul C. Schliefke, 65, of Franklin, died July 24 in his home. He was the husband of Judith (Retajczyk) Schliefke.
Born in Schenectady, New York, March 18, 1949, the son of the late Carl and Rosemary (Sullivan) Schliefke, Mr. Schliefke was raised in New York and had lived in the Franklin area for many years.
Mr. Schliefke had been an accountant for the General Electric Corporation for many years.
He was a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge and enjoyed college hockey.
Paul was a devoted husband, a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Schliefke had proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Boatswains Mate 3rd class.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Karen Facques and her husband Steve of Bedford, New Hampshire, Michael Schliefke and Elizabeth Wesley of Kansas City, Missouri and James Schliefke and his wife Kimberly of Franklin.
He is also survived by his brother Garry Schliefke of Marietta, Georgia and his grandsons, Edward and Harrison Schliefke.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 30 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
