SALEM - Florence G. (Dolmat) Sylvanowicz, of Rowley, wife of the late John F. Sylvanowicz, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield following a long illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Stasia (Maga) Dolmat.
A resident of Peabody for most of her life, she was a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church in Peabody.
Prior to her retirement in 1984, Florence was employed at GTE Sylvania at the Sylvan St., Danvers plant for 33 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Phyllis (Dupuis) Sylvanowicz of Rowley, a sister-in-law, Bertha Sylvanowicz of Beverly, nephews, Benjamin Sylvanowicz, , Edward Sylvanowicz, John Dolmat, one niece, Donna Drinkwater and many members of her extended family. She was predeceased by two brothers Raymond Dolmat and John Dolmat, nephews Carroll Sylvanowicz , Mark Dolmat, Michael Dolmat and one niece, Catherine DeSantis.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 with a visitation from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church, Salem.
