Obituary

Regina C. (Mueller) Chandanais, 76, of Westport died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at home. She was the beloved wife of Roger J. Chandanais.
Born in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Leo J. and Hildegarde E. (Schneider) Mueller, she had lived in Westport since 1960. She was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mrs. Chandanais attended Bristol Community College in Fall River and studied Italian and French Gourmet Cooking, Seafood and French Pastry and Basics in Computers for 10 years. She was the founder/instructor of the Texas Style Country Dancers of Westport for about 35 years and also taught dance lessons at the following places: Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN, Club Dance in Knoxville, TN, Church Street Station in Orlando, FL, Sullivan’s Dance Hall in Orlando, FL along with various other locations in MA and RI.
Including her husband, she is survived by a son: Rick J. Chandanais and his wife Jennifer Robb-Chandanais of Westport; 2 daughters: Renee’ J. Worden and her husband Scott of Jackson, ME and Rachelle J. Chandanais of Fall River; a sister: Constance J. Borzymowski and her husband Matthew of St. Louis, MO; 2 granddaughters: Shannon M.R. Servant and Jessica J. Chandanais; a great granddaughter: Karysa Chandanais-Leite; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 9:00 A.M.
