Manchester– Doris E. Plante, 84, died July 21, 2014 at her home following a long illness.
She was born in Manchester on April 23, 1930 the daughter of Edmond and Amanda (Dostie) Nadeau and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Prior to her retirement she had been a seamstress and had also worked for Chicopee Mills.
She was predeceased by her husband Jacques A. Plante, August 27, 2008.
Members of her family include one son Richard Plante of Goffstown, four daughters, Jacqueline Souza and her husband Thomas of Sweetwater, TN., Jeannine Chasse of Bedford, Muriel Graveline and Linda Pierce both of Manchester, nine grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one brother Edmond Nadeau of Dover and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and friends at the YMCA pool.
She was also predeceased by a sister Irene Pelletier and her pet Chihuahua “Bandit”.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services will take place on Thursday July 31 at 1:30 PM at NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
