Winifred M. Campbell, 95, of Brentwood, NH, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood. Mrs. Campbell was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada on April 14, 1909, a daughter of the late James J. and Elizabeth S. (Bailey) Mootrey. She was a resident of Brentwood for the past year and a half, formerly living in Derry, NH, Saugus, MA and Dunedin, FL. She was a graduate of East Boston High School in East Boston, MA. Mrs. Campbell was employed as a sales and function manager at the New Ocean House Hotel in Swampscott, MA and was the general manager of the Preston Beach Motor Inn in Marblehead, MA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Senior Friends in Derry and the First Parish Church in East Derry.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Zuckerman and her husband Donald of Lewisboro, NY, Gay Cestaro and her husband William of Derry, one son, Richard Campbell and his wife Joan of Boxford, MA, six grandchildren, Pamela Messenger, Jennifer Campbell, Ethan Zuckerman, Elizabeth Zuckerman, Jillien Orozco, Justin, Cestaro, three great grandchildren, Olivia Messenger, Anne Messenger, Mariella Orozco, two sisters, Jean Bonneau of Naples, FL, Vivian Mitchell of Seminole, FL, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Everett A. Campbell who died in 1969.
Friends may call on Friday, November 19th from 10 - 11:00am in the First Parish Church, 47 East Derry Rd., E. Derry. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am in the Church. The burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Saugus, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., NH Affiliate, PO Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
