SALEM- Helen F. (Gorham) Broderick, 83, wife of the late Edwin D. “Bing” Broderick, of Bradford Street, Salem, died Thursday evening, November 23, 2000, in the Masconomet Health Care Center, Topsfield, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Lally) Gorham.
Mrs Broderick was employed at the GE in Lynn during WWII and later she worked at M. H. Baker’s in Salem.
A resident of Salem since 1942, she was a member of the St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Salem.
She is survived by one son, John A. Broderick of Salem, two daughters and a son-in-law, Janis and James McDonald and Kathleen Broderick, all of Salem and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 28, 200 from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 AM at the St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Salem. Visiting hours were Monday, 4 to 8 PM and burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
