SALEM- Barbara A. (Dunajski) Walsh, age 60, wife of William T. Walsh, of Lovett St., Salem, died Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Peabody on January 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Dunajski and Helen (Odachowski) (Dunajski) Eanes.
Prior to her retirement in the early 1990's, she was employed by the City of Peabody School Department in the Transportation Department for 14 years.
Barbara was an active member of the St. Joseph Parish in Peabody, where she was a member of the St Joseph’s Ladies Guild. She was a member of the Peabody Post, PLAV, Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer at the Peabody Community Life Center where she taught quilting.
Besides her husband, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and his wife Glenda Roddy of Virginia, Michael Roddy of Salem, William and his wife Michelle Walsh II, of Peabody, one daughter and son -in-law, Christine and Raymond Derby of Melrose, 9 grandchildren, two sisters, Eleanor and her husband Frank Soucy of Danvers, Patricia Whittridge of Salem, one aunt, Millie and her husband Ted Pacak of Peabody, and dear friends, Kathleen Broderick of Salem and Richard Rose Sr. of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Ronald Dunajski and Sandra Rose.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at 8 AM from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 AM at the St. Thomas The Apostle Church, on the Salem-Peabody line.
