WORCESTER-Gordon J. Bedard, 77, of 32 Quaboag Street died Saturday March 23 at home after an illness.
He leaves a brother Roland Bedard of Worcester; a sister Shirley Helias of Worcester; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bedard was born in Worcester son of Walter and Rena (Gregoire) Bedard and lived here all his life.
Mr. Bedard worked for Norton Co. as an office administrator for 35 years and retired in 1985.
He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Cathedral. He was also an associate member of the American Legion Main South Post 341, Greendale Retirement Club, Norton's 25 Years Club, Worcester Boy's Club Alumni.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 27 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 11 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday March 26 from 5 to 8 PM in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Memorial Fund, 15 Chatham St. Worcester, MA 01609.
