Earl R. Coutu age 90 of Sharon passed away July 12th at the Norwood Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was raised in Hyde Park and attended Boston Public Schools and Bryant & Stratton. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the Boston Police Department from 1947-1980 retiring as a Lieutenant. He was a member of the Boston Police Superior Officer’s Assn. In his spare time Earl enjoyed fishing, reading and working in his garden and around the house. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Mann). Father of June R. Coutu and her close friend Steven Besaw of Sharon and the late Russell Coutu. Earl is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the United Church of Christ 1541 Washington St. Canton Wednesday morning at 10. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
