Jerry J. Paradee, 56 of Marblehead, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the North Shore Medical Center / Salem Hospital following a long illness.
Born and raised in Marblehead, he was the son of the late Albert F. and Joan L (Banks) Paradee. Jerry first worked in landscaping in Marblehead. He left garden work to become manager of the ACE Hardware Store in Marblehead.
Jerry’s true passion was his love of horses. Prior to his failing health, he raised horses and rode at equestrian farms in Haverhill, Wenham and Rowley.
He is survived by his brother, John A. Paradee of New York, NY, a sister, Cheryl L. Paradee of Salem, three aunts, Dorothy M. Banks of Florida, Alma J. Cooke of Peabody, Ruth V. Geary of Marblehead and a niece, Tanya Freedman of Pennsylvania.
